Week Three- Making Music!

Challenge of the week: Keeping everyone on track, modelling like never before.

And so the whitebox was changed... For the last time. After getting feedback from the tutors regarding the level scale and layout, Kara and Morgan worked unbelievably hard to make sure the whitebox was to scale and that the player could traverse it comfortably. Some of our blockouts were tested in the level and everything seems to be going to plan.

This week was mainly starting work, making sure modelling is going at a good pace and that we are all on track for the deadline. Everyone is communicating well and trying their hardest to keep work on schedule. The tutors are pleased with the direction we are taking our idea and the style that we are trying to acheive. 

While the deadline is incredibly close, we all feel that leaving it later will leave too much uncertainty. We need time to polish, and we must take into account that Easter is a time when we aren't all able to access the UE4 Level. We at least have the easter break to work on textures more, but for our peace of mind, all assets must be modelled, unwrapped and in the level before the 7th.

A bit of research into texel density has also been done, and this seems to be an appropriate guideline to follow.
