This week I really got rolling, after finalising my concepts for the fortune teller tent I moved onto modelling it properly, not just block outs.
some of these obviously still needed to be altered to fit the tri limits we have set but in general i am happy with this layout, it has enough room for the player to move about it in and enough interesting things to interact with, the zoltar box will also be in this room i just hadnt imported it in time of the screenshot.
I spent a bit of time looking at lighting for the scene, I think having some super dimly lit candles only giving snippets of the area around them would be perfect and then a large glowing ball in the centre as the main attraction throwing a small ammount of strangely coloured light to the surroundings.
if the level is going to be set at night i want a small ammount of light to emit from my entrance but not as much as this.
since we are going for semi stylised our style guide specifies that we want more large forms than little details so I am trying to use zbrush to create the major folds in fabric but we are ignoring the medium and small delicate folds.
some looks at a first bit of texturing i did, obviously max isn't the best place to view these textures but here they are, some nice little tarot cards hanging from rope.
then I also finished my Zoltar box this week it has no character since jodi is making the character for it to be walking around out of his box.
it is complete with textures, and finished modelling, my first major game ready asset for this project.
