Jodi Shadforth - Week Three - No Brakes on the Modelling Train *toot toot*

This week has been full-swing modelling work. Most of us are almost done with our tents and have had a look at them in the level as blockouts. We quickly realised that the level scaling was wrong... AGAIN! In any case, Kara and Morgan updated the whitebox and made the sweetest blockout that I think we're all incredibly happy with. We also started working on the music! Ashley, Kara and I all started composing a song (Well... Me and Kara watched and critiqued haha, Ashley has the talent), and we ended up with a sweet, slightly mystical tune that fits the evening woodland circus beautifully!

As producer, I'm trying to keep things running smoothly, but we're hitting some bumps. While almost everyone is communicating wonderfully, sharing their WiPs in the group chat several times a day and meeting most days in labs to work on things, I've found that Noemi is really difficult to contact. I message her daily and receive no reply, but generally we only get to communicate with her once or twice a week during the tutor meetings, and we don't know what she's started and what she's working on. We all just want to know whether she's making anything or not, and if there's anything we can do to help, but it's difficult when we just can't reach her.

Everyone is generally working incredibly hard though! I love that my group is so understanding and supportive of eachother, and that things are progressing so quickly. We've tried to be realistic with what we want to acheive, and everyone is sharing their knowledge and helping to boost the others up in their work.

This is my tent model. I'm doing the Ventriloquist tent! I haven't made my puppets yet, but the rest of the scene is prettymuch done and I've unwrapped it, with some packing to do today so it can be popped into engine tomorrow. I'm breaking unwrapping up into:

- Outer Tent and Cloth
- Interior Assets

I think this'll work well and allow me to get the baking right for each kind of asset while utilising all of the space.

I'm pleased with my tent layout. I think there are plenty of little details to keep the player entertained but with enough room to move around. I still have some small things to add, but largely this tent is done and ready for texturing to begin.
