With 3 weeks off not a lot happened I mainly spent my time finishing off assets that I could get done at home without certain programs because my laptop couldn't run them.
I worked on blueprinting the gameplay elements of the map, such as the little stalls and creating a basic collectable system that I am not sure will be implemented yet but it is there just in case.
I also spent a whole day recreating a character blueprint for us and then realised I could just migrate one from the other levels, still I guess it was a learning experience and I learnt a lot making it
I also worked on fixing up some water for our level, after my original design wasn't super amazing, it was way too fast and aggressive for the type of calm level we wanted.
i spent time messing with the colours and speed and tiling rate of this, i then turned it into an instance with certain parameters that can be controlled without the knowledge of the blueprint so Morgan and Kara could change it to the colour they wanted when messing with the lighting.
i spend a few days fixing up some more particle effects for the blueprints and just the level in general and editing already made ones so they aren't as invasive on the whole level, more ambient. (except the magic circle obviously)
confetti
falling leaves
fireflies
magic circle
since i didn't have access to substance or certain other programs when i was home for the first week of Easter i spent it making sure my design ideas for visual studies was set and i could confidently get on with my working
so i made some more concepts and orthographic, and worked on getting material reference to tweak any textures i needed too
the rest of my time over easter was finishing up texturing assets and applying custom collision to make sure the player could walk around them without the camera clipping or getting stuck ect.
then for the 3rd week of Easter i went to Berlin so i didn't get anything done.
