Week 6 - Bits, Bobs and Tunnels!


 This weeks been a productive one for me as I am working on iterating the main circus tent model and concept. During this time, I thought it would be a good idea to make some of the assets that I could clutter the level with as well as providing a bit of context for train. Using the tiling texture I showed off last week, I created an easily editable train tunnel that I found looked effective as well as a train track for the obvious requirements of the train. The train now has some custom collision as well as a new particle effect to give the impression of steam protruding from the make shift chimney hat which gave the train a less static appearance. Kara has currently solved the strange issue of the lighting on the foliage which is amazing and I will update you all on how much better they look in the level. I am continually tweaking and changing the lighting and post process effects to get the right level of exposure, contrast, temperature and colour variation that best conveys the mood of a tranquil autumn sunset. I am still not completely content with how the lighting is and I will continue to iterate over the next three weeks, however I feel that its currently on the right track.
