First week of the project I`ve spent by mostly doing research on Victorian Entertainment. I`ve tried to gather images on Pinterest ( https://uk.pinterest.com/nmolnar94/victorian-era-and-entertainment/) and read up information on what type of Victorian Entertainments there were and which one would be the most interesting subject to create a game asset.
With my group after doing the first meeting we were developing the idea of doing a Circus Murder Mystery. To contribute to that idea I looked at Victorian assets and tailored my Pinterest board to a more circus related subject.
I also played around with the idea of a Victorian Fair, which was somewhat similar to a circus entertainment because people like to see things with wondrous or grotesque qualities. These were freak shows and merchants who sold a vary large range of variety items. In my mind an open space like that would give tremendous opportunities for quests, collectable quest items and other incorporated magical entertainments that would also give space for a hidden object game.
In the mean time I have gathered photographs I have previously taken on locations such as a Steam Festival and a National Trust Property called Snowshill Manor in which Charles Paget Wade has collected hundreds of items in his lifetime that fascinated him. A lot of these items are from the Victorian era and can be seen in each room of the manor.
